We found your web page very interesting. It contained alot of good information. I was glad to see that you don't deal with UFO sightings within this web page, I do believe that there are other life forms out the re but they definitely need to be seperately talked about. They do not belong classified with along with the paranormal. I have dealt for several years with different kinds of ghosts. I have assisted spirits with the cross-over through gateways, have encountered poltergiest, good and bad, and have had very clear communications with several on an on-going basis. I am usually exteremely careful talking to people about my gifts because closed-mindedness can be exteremely dangerous for those of us who have been blessed. Fortunately my boyfriend is very open-minded about the subject although sometimes very confused. I also have a son who is very aware of the presence of spirits around him. I would be very interested in receiving e-mail from anyone who has experienced the paranormal and anyone who has had experience with healing. e-mail mopar@mail.cvn.net

Obiwan, a shower of congratulations! This is a greater site every time I come to visit!
Something I am sure a lot of us afgs-fans would like to see in this site is some more credit to yourself. i.e.information from the maintainer of this site: you.
Add things like:
- personal paranormal experiences
- why/when did you start as an afgs reader/active-participant
- State where you live and related hauntings
- put back the mice/cats pictures! And add some more...!
- add a counter for guests visiting this site.
Well, you get the picture...
And finally, thank you for giving us this great site!
Best regards // Arturo Sanchez, Saltillo - Mexico.
Obiwan notes: Thank you for the compliments, Arturo! :-) I really appreciate the comments from long-time readers like you. I will try to address your points above. I haven't had many paranormal experiences. You can read about one of them in the story entitled "Bowling Ball" in the Story Archives. I started reading a.f.g-s in early 1993 (gulp... almost 5 years now! I'm feeling old!). I suppose I started reading it because it sounded interesting to me, since I have always been interested in ghosts. I now live in California. I haven't experienced any hauntings here, but I enjoy dragging my husband and child around to haunted places like the Whaley House. The pet pictures can still be found at http://www.lido.com/ (for now anyway). And finally, I used to have a counter on the old version of the page, but ditched it with the revision. Maybe I'll add one again sometime if I find one I like. :-)

If they gave awards for the most informative spook site, I'm positive this site would be given highest honours! Alas, as it is I can only throw cyber laurels to you. Thanks Obiwan, for your perservance and committment to the pursuit of ghost exploration and inquiry! regards Zubrovka

I really like reading these stories. Everybody says that if i read stuff like this, i'm inviting spirits in. Is that true or are they just trying to scare me? If it is true, what kind of spirits am i allowing in? Please send me some feed back on this so i will know a little bit more about it
Obiwan notes: I am no expert, but I don't believe you are inviting spirits in just by reading ghost stories. Of course, you never know, but I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you. :-)

Obiwan, I love this page!!! But when ya gonna add my story I sent a couple months ago? And how will I find it? Keep up the good work!!!!
Obiwan notes: I am always working on adding stories. However, because I get SO many, it seems I always have a huge backlog to go through! Therefore, it may take several months for your story to be selected to appear on the page. Whenever I add stories, I always email the authors to let them know where they can find their stories. Thanks for the submission! I do appreciate them even though it takes me a while to get to them all!

I became a lurker a few months ago and I rush home from work every day just to read the Khalloween story that is posted daily. Some of these stories scare the jeebies out of me......and to think they are all real.
Keep up the good work and kudos to the submitters. Your stories really do put a top to my day.

This website is very easy to navigate, and it is always interesting to read of people's experiences in thier own words. As an old-timer in reading about, and dealing with the paranormal on a daily basis, it is refreshing to see that the internet has allowed people to describe thier experiences to a sympathetic audience, and those experiences are there for others to read and share. I remember the days back when there were only Hans Holtzer's books to turn to when one wanted to read "true ghost stories." Keep up the good work.

nothing like a UFO good old fashion paranormal page! There is so much stuff about UFO's all ready, there was no need.
I agree with whoever mentioned that more information about the page's owner would be interesting.
The page is very interesting with all the storys and informations and the list very worm and friendly so that we feel confortable to talk about paranormal phenomenons wich, of course, we don't feel confortable to talk to just anyone about.
Thanks for all of that Obiwan.

I really like this page! I haven't had any "paranormal experiences" or anything, but i think that they're very interesting. I live in St. Louis and there's this mansion called the Lemp mansion. I don't know the story behind it and wanted to know if you've heard of it. If so, could you put up some info on it? You're website is great and keep up the good work. Thanx, Callie.
Obiwan notes: Sorry, I have not heard of that particular place. If you find out anything about it, let me know!

After reading the "article" on Bloody Mary, I feel I must make a few comments. First, I was told Bloody Mary is Mary, Queen of Scots. She is to have killed many people during her reign, and thus received the nickname "Bloody Mary." She died by her people revolting against her and savagely killing her.
Being female, this "rite of passage" came my way when I was 11 years old. The way I was instructed to see Bloody Mary was as follows: Young girls stand in front of a mirror in a bathroom (we always used the public restroom at our school in the morning before school started). You were instructed to close your eyes, turn around five times chanting "Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary." When you turned around five times, you open your eyes, and Bloody Mary is supposed to appear to you in the mirror with a thick fog around her. This can also be performed chanting "Bloody Finger, Bloody Finger." Your are supposed to see Bloody Mary's hand in the mirror.
For lack of imagination, I never saw either. When I asked my mother about this "rite of passage," she offered the following explanation:
Because public restrooms are supposed to be clean, the cleaning people use alot of disinfectant, which smells. Because your eyes are closed and you are turning around, your senses are somewhat blurred, which is to cause the "fog" effect. Finally, with these two situations occurring, and the bathroom is dark, it is difficult to recognize your own reflection in the mirror. Thus, it is basically your own reflection in the mirror which is being construed by the strong odor of disinfectant and the slight dizziness that has occurred from you spinning.
Like I previously stated, I never saw Bloody Mary, but I had a few nightmares about her.
