Being interested in ghostly and paranormal phenomenon, as well as running a "Ghost Stories" page, I've been by a few times before. I j ust wanted to comment that things look a lot better now! I also enjoy the secti on dealing with "The Bell Witch". I think feedback of this type is great and sh ould be extended to many of the "classic" stories out there. Just an "IMHO" :-) Take Care...

Hi, I wrote to you a couple of days ago, asking questio ns about my sighting, (I'm still waiting for a responce) but I was reading about what you think about ouija and I have to disa gree, ouija is evil, I have played it a couple of times, and it's always a bad experience, and trust m e I'm sober, and drug free when playing! I personally belive that it is evil, considering it was call ed the witch board and was originally used by witches. And it is made from salem. I think the "game" shoul d be banned and if that won't happen, then at least bring up the age, do you realize it is for children 2 and up! I think there is something a little bit wrong about that don't you? well I gotta go

I love your page! I will be back often! I have never had any obvious experiences with ghosts, just a couple of incidents that I attribute to coincidence. (Although, now I wonder an incident at the "Hotel Del".) I've always had a healthy respect for the dead; I sympathize with ghosts and feel it is best not to conjure or try to communicate with them. I grew up in Nashville,TN about 1 hour south from the Bell Witch farm. For years I attended a Girl Scout camp (900 acres) in Robertson County . Of course we'd talk about the witch, and we were all terrified. On several occasions someone claimed to spot a girl dressed in a long black dress standing out in the field. Of course, we speculated this to be a member of the Bell family(or a lost scout, LOL). My brother-in-law drives through Adams often to visit his Mom in KY. He said that a few years ago while driving past the corn fields there, a mangy looking dog darted out from the corn and crossed the road ahead of him and disappeared into the corn on the other side. It was close enough that he had to brake, and when he did his car engine died. He started it immediately and hurried away. He still drives that road but has had no other encounters. My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Hotel del Coronado in 1983. We stayed in the one of the old rooms that was not haunted. In the spring of 1986 we returned and stayed in one of the new rooms, far from the haunted areas. We had just learned that I was pregnant and wanted one last trip while I still felt good. We arrived in the early afternoon and spent a couple of hours walking the grounds and sitting on the beach. We walked past the tennis courts and up the steps where "Kate" had been found dead. At the top of the steps is a veranda with restaurant tables. My husband went in and made our reservati ons; and we headed back to our suite to shower and change for dinner. I went first b ecause for some reason I felt very chilled. I turned the shower on very hot, closed the door and turned on the heat lamp and vent. When my hair was lathered up in shampoo, the heat lamp bulb exploded and glass splinters flew everywhere. I had to rinse them out of my hair, and I had a few minor cuts on my back and shoulders. My husband put towels down on the floor so I could get out without cutting my feet. Then he called the desk to report the situation. They sent employees up to clean the glass and replace the bulb. Then the manager came with apologies and a menu. He told us to order anything on the menu and it was "on the house". We had it sent to our room and never went back to the veranda by "the steps".We never knew the story about the hotel's ghost(s), just that there was one. Now I'm wondering if Kate disapproved of my pregnancy and followed me back to express her displeasure!

Really fun I live in Clarksville TN. only a few miles f rom Adams TN. I really enjoyed all th info on the Bell witch. There is also a l edgend that if you take a rock from the cave and not leave something in its pla ce you will have bad luck. My brother did just that during a canoe trip. Puttin g a rock in his pocket he proceeded to take quit a nasty fall down the river ba nk. You can only go on your own personaln experiences.

This is fantastic!!!! I have always been interested in this aspect of the paranormal, and it's reassuring to know that so many others share similar interests. I intend to share this site with my friends. You've done a wonderful job. Although I am not a believer (I must see it to believe it), I thoroughly enjoy the possibilities.
