The background is distracting--too much eye candy!! I like the skulls a lot, though. The worst is that the text on the last column w raps around to the second column, so that I clicked on text for the last column when I intended to click on the second column. The picture of Obi-wan is terr ific! Just tone down the background. BTW, congratulations on the new baby and thanks for updating the stories. You don't know how many times I've checked since January for an update...I'm so excited and can't wait to read them!

I'm a true believer in ghosts, and before I got the computer, I would spend hundreds of dollars on ghost books. Now, I never buy fiction- I'd much rather have true accounts. So this webpage is ideal for me!

Love the background! The skulls don't really match though. Perhaps something less "cartoonish" for bullets?

I just don`t think that a graveyard is so very spooky. Maybe it should be something more eerie instead, like an old castle or something like that.

I have looked all over the internet for ghost stories and I think your site is definitely the best one that I have seen. I am something of a folklorist, and I think the variety of stories that you hav e gathered is incredible and the stories themselves really fascinating. It makes me rather sad that I don't have a stor y of my own to share in thanks!
One other note: There is an excellent book on the "Old Hag" phenomenon, called _The Terror That Comes In the Night,_ which I encountered in one of my Anthropology classes. I cannot rememb er the name of the author, but the book was a truly excellent cross-cultural study of the phenomenon, together with an analysis of the western medical explanation (which, as I recall, was not entirely adequate, strangely e nough). It included an chapter on the phenomenon as it is associated with hauntings, and included a story scary e nough to make me have to skip that chapter as I was reading it for class. Extremely readable and a very scho larly work. Just thought you might be interested, since I noticed that you had the medical explanation featured in your faq. (I happen to be one of the unfortunates who has experienced this, and I had my eyes open at the time - mak ing "sleep" a rather troublesome term to use in describing whatever it was!)
In any case, the book is quite good, although it offers no explanation, medical , cultural, or ghostly, for the phenomenon.

Your server works fast. I like that. However, the design of the homepage is too complicated. The color-blind people may have troubles with that.

Hello... I enjoy reading the stories most of all at you r website... Some of the photographs were fun to look at, but the ones with the little circles on them get old real quick... Maybe you could go thru and find the best stories, and feature different ones every week or so... How m any times can we read the Drury story, or the other ones that have been there for a long time?? Don't get me wrong but I think maybe you could change some of it a little.. Not much.. Just enough so that when people come to the site for the 4th and 5th time, it won't always be the same thing.. im looking for some stuff on bloody mary...i used to be big into it in junior h igh,but i cant really recall too much of the stuff i used to know about it,but i was always too scared to try it..im still to this day scared of mirrors,when im in the dark......theres nothing on the web about it really..its dissapointin g...anyways if you know of any sites or anything,please feel free to email me r italin@angelfire.com

I like the colors of the background, and the skull icons, but the pumpkins seem a little out of place. Too orange, or something. Could you find a little ghost icon, maybe? Just a suggestion.

The background is a little too distracting. A simpler, b/w graphic would be better. Other than that, I like the site.

The new page is more colorful and that's what I like most about it. One thing that would be cool is perhaps a little spooky music, say the Friday 13th Movie, Jason's coming to get ya theme.

The tonal qualities of the picture are too close togeth er and clash. They make my eyes jump and if I continued to look at the page it would give me a migraine. Although it is an artistic affectation to copy the same picture four times acro ss the page, it does not work due to your sense of colour. Please revise the page, not necessarily into a more 'realistic' or representati onal attempt at a suitably spooky subject, just try to make it balance artistically. Thank you for you attention. When reading the stories I enjoyed it more when all the stories for the letter where listed at the side at all times instead of having to go back and forth you could go to the next one instantly. By the way great job.

Loose the crappy pictures! The site would improve no end if it did. I like the background though.

I took a look at the old page. The little tomb stones l ooked kind of hokey - Sorry. I think you should change the icon that brings you back to the main page as well, to go with the new look. The front page does have the right feel to it but seems too busy for my eyes. I may well like it better after I get used to it.Don't go fixing it for a while even if people don't generally like it, give it time. Like I said, not bad really, just has a busy feel to it.

The background is just too..."busy" for lack of a better word. I have a difficult time making out what is on the page. The rest looks great.

The background is too intense and detracts from the real importance of the page - the contents. How about a nice simple background so that the text can be clearly read and no silly piccys or skulls or gravestones etc etc.
