GU-3 DetailsGrand Unification 3 is taking place Feb 5-8 2004 at the Radisson Hotel O'Hare in Chicago. We are taking advantage of the Love Is Murder convention, which is taking place at the hotel that weekend and features F. Paul Wilson as a guest, and are planning some of our events around that. However, the GU-3 and LIM Con are separate events and are not officially related.

We are keeping the contents a surprise, but we can say that at least one item in each bag will be something that was personally handed to us by FPW at the first GU. Being the generous souls that we are, we've decided to share the love. CONFIRMED GU-3 ATTENDEES: (Note: If there is no specification after your name, I have you down for full attendance Thurs-Sun. Breakfast with the GUers (GUers only/not LIM-related) **Details on pitch meetings (from LIM staff): "A pitch meeting is where you get a short amount of time to pitch you book to a publisher and/or agent. You will only get from 7-10 minutes with each to really talk up your work. You should also have a detailed outline of your book to hand them and all of your info, maybe even a sort of query letter. Since you only get a very short amount of time, make sure that you practice your pitch ahead of time and get all of the uhms and humms, and likes out of your spiel." Joe Konrath has also put a page together for folks who were wondering about pitch meetings. Thanks, Joe! |
