Yes, Lisa did talk to The Man!! And I almost managed not to make a complete idiot of myself too. I didn't ask for a pic with him because I already felt like I would be arrested for stalking, after the gift and the special inscription and all, and there were people waiting behind me in line. Okay, I wimped out. FPW put a special inscription in my copy of All the Rage: "to Lisa Krause, Queen of the RJ fan club." I gave him the card and he seemed quite impressed. Hehehe! Look below to see the messages everyone sent him. All in all I think I held up pretty well, considering I worship FPW and have an extreme fear of public speaking. Maybe next time I'll even manage not to be embarrassed!

Note the Harry Potter shirt, Tony! I told you!
The text of the card:
"Thanks for all the characters, situations and worlds you have created. It's rare when an author takes time out to talk with the fans that you so rightly deserve. I don't think anyone can express the joy we all have when you take the time to respond to our questions and post messages to the board. Here's to one of the greats!"
"F Paul,
Thank you very much for all your words, I look forward to reading plenty
more in the future.
Hope to see you in England one day.
Best wishes."
"F. Paul. Please keep up the great work. You write 'em, we'll read 'em!"
"The GU FAQ is still coming!! - APhew"
"Thank you for the inspiration and for writing characters that are so real, honest and complex. You are one of a kind. Keep 'em coming! Warmest Regards, Susan"
"FPW, I wish I was there to meet you in person and take you out on a huge bender but I'll settle for saying hello and thanks for the great books, Yours in Jack, Chris Foix"
"I wish i could be here at the signing but it is just too far. As for the signing in November I am only about an hour drive away and so hopefully i will be there. Just finished ATR...excellent as expected...can't wait for the next one."
"Mr. Wilson, thanks for all of the great books that have kept me awake long after everyone else in the house has gone to bed. I began reading your books this past May and was immediately hooked. Good luck with your current works in progess, and take care."
"Many thanks for all of the time & effort you put into the board. Best wishes from England."
"MR. WIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON (Best Dennis The Menace Impersonation): Just wanted to thank you for years of reading enjoyment. Thanks to Hooked on Phonics and your literary works, I am now on a 12th grade reading level! I love Repairman Jack and of course all the other memorable characters of your great works. It is an honor that I get to write you. I am your biggest fan! Not in the Kathy Bates a` la Misery way, but I am 6'3 and pushing 300#'s. BIGGEST fan. Hehehehe. Thanks again!"
"FPW, I would like to thank you for creating such wonderful stories and sharing them with your devoted fans. With each story that you write, it feels that you are giving us a little bit of yourself. Hopefully with the Repairman Jack message board, we can give a little of ourselves back to you. Thanks again and keep on keeping on."
"Off-the-board greetings from Michael. Wish we could all be there in person to take you out to dinner at your favorite LA eatery after the signing."
"F. Paul, I don't want to bore you with platitudes. (You are the best; 'nuff said) Let me just thank you for introducing me to some of the best friends I know: the regulars on the RJ board. Your work has brought us together, and I am a better person as a result."
"fpw- thanks for the hours of enjoyment- great tales with great characters- you keep writin' 'em, i'll keep readin' 'em."
Lisa and Mrs. Aloa (Sara) just signed their names.
