story In 1980, my husband, Dan and I were asleep in his grandmother's house. It was a very old house that was ready to be condemned. She had been sick and we decided to stay a few nights with her in case she needed any help. We were sleeping peacefully, and I awoke with the feeling of something touching my hand. It felt like a feather, very light and soft. I opened my eyes, thinking it was his grandmother, and with a start I was surprised to see a man kneeling beside my bed. He had a long beard, long hair, and the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen! I nudged my husband to wake him up, but gave up immediately..I was so awestruck at this man kneeling by my bed! He had a glow all around him, like white clouds engulfing him. He told me that soon, there would be some children who would need me, and that I needed to read my bible and trust in the Lord to guide me. He vanished with a blink of an eye. I turned to wake my husband, and he was laying there watching me. He asked me what! ! had happened and I told him..He couldn't see this man, but he knew I had a unusual experience by the expression on my face..He told me that my face had a beautiful glow and that I looked so peaceful!

The days ahead were very busy and we never spoke of this event again. His grandmother passed away and we went on with our daily routines. In 1983, my husband passed away from diabetes. He was only 41.

In 1984, I moved to Ft. Worth to start a new life. I found the man of my dreams and we married. He has two grown children and I have three grown children. In 1992, three little girls whom we had known all their lives, needed a home. They were sisters and the thought of them being separated was more than I could bear. We talked about it and decided that we could give these girls a happy home. They moved in with us and in 1996, they were ours legally. We had adopted them.

We moved from our two bedroom mobile home to a four bedroom house in Granbury, Texas. I had to take the children to a counselor every week for one year. They had been sexually abused in their former home. The Psychologist told me that the two younger girls had told him that they had been seeing people walking through the walls. I said that they had very vivid imaginations and he told me that sometimes children see more than adults because of their innocence.

My husband was working out of town one week and I had put the children to bed. I always left their bedroom doors open so they wouldn't wake up and be afraid. On this specific night, I thought about the experience I had when I was married to my ex-husband, and I wondered what he would think if he could see what the future had dealt me. I fell into a restful sleep. At about 2:30 the next morning, I felt someone sit on the edge of my bed..I threw the covers back for them to crawl in next to me. I thought it was the youngest girl, age 5. I felt her crawl up on the bed, and I felt the pressure of the pillow as they lay their head down. I went to put my arm around her, and NO ONE WAS THERE!!!

I quickly swung my legs off the bed and turned on the bedside lamp. NO ON was in that bed with me! I got up and proceeded to check on my children..Each one was in her own bed sound asleep!! I questioned my mental status for a minute and decided that I had been over working myself..I finally calmed down and went back to bed. The next morning my daughter asked me where dad was..I said, he is still out of town, honey. He will be home Friday. She looked very puzzled and sad, "Who is that man in your bed? " I had to take her hand and walk her into my room to show her there was no one in my bed. My skin was crawling and I will never forget the look of puzzlement on her little face..And I also wonder, "Who WAS that man in my bed?
