Subject: Ghost Story
Do with this what you will, I'm not even sure I'm sending it to the right person, but here goes. I have been signed onto this list for quite some time, going on three years. I have never really had anything tangible to write about, the only experiences I knew about were things that happened to friends, or weird feelings I would get about places or people.
Anyway, recently something weird did start happening. About two weeks before my brothre left for Boot Camp and about three before I left to come back to college (so about a month and a half ago), I started having weird things happen.
It all started with a string of bad dreams, all of which contained images of rotting and decomposition. I chalked it up to my best friend being sick and my worrying about her, but then doors started to lock on me.
In my house the doors are all push button locks. I have been going in and out of these rooms for nine years and I have never hit the locks without meaning to. I normally close the doors using the door itself, I rarely close doors with the knob. I was in the upstairs bathroom and when I left I noticed that the lock clicked and then disengaged as I left. I thought it was weird, but didn't think about it past that, until it started happening everytime I used that bathroom. Then it started happening to my car door.
I went to leave my car, but the door was locked. I have auto-locks, and for my brother, who was riding with me, to lock my door, I would have heard it, but I didn't. He also would have had his door locked if this had been the case, but he was able to get out with ease. At the time I figured he was playing a trick on me, but then it happened several more times, when I was alone in the car. In each of the cases, my door was the only one locked. I was never prevented from leaving the car, but it was freaky that the door locked itself. The final time was again in a bathroom, but it was the one on the first floor of the house. I know I didn't lock these doors.
I told my best friend about it. She is psychic, and she basically stated what I was already feeling, that something is trying to keep something away from me. If anyone has any ideas what could be going on, I would appreciate it. What my best friend and I found peculiar was that this phenomenon moved with me, rather than staying in one room.
