I live in a 300 hundred year old house in Buckinghamshire (50 miles north of london)which must seen its fair share of deaths. For some reason my ghost was a music lover. It started when one night, shortly after we moved in.

Inexplicably the sterio in the dining room turned on to white noise of an untuned radio frequency, waking everyone in the house up. Thinking this was some sort of malfunction we just turned it off and went back to bed. It happend again, then again and again.

We still thought nothing of it until something else happend. One night, the vinal record player was left with the needle on the start of the disc and turned off. In the middle of the night we all awoke to the sound of the Carpenters at full volume. We all said it must be a ghost but we really all thought the most likly cause was a faulty sterio.

We tested the ghoul by repeating the situation with the needle at the start as before and sure enough it happend again and everytime we tested it. This is still not unusual as this could be the sterio. Our opinion changed soon after.

One saturday night about 11:00pm my mother was sleeping on the sofa, my dad was washing in the bathroom just up the stairs and I was in my room, the room directly above. We all heard a crash and went to see what had happend. The sterio was on the floor 3 or 4 feet from the unit it was on ,upright with only the vinal disc player cover split in two. I dont think cheap electronics explains this incident.

We replaced the cover and put it back and we havent had any thing happen since.

The house does have an unusual atomshere but it isn't a creepy sort more that we dot want to leave. After years of moving from house to house we've stayed here the longest, 12 years. The house has a soul of its own.
