story I just recently moved to Alabama where I am attending college. I am renting a house with two other students, who are studying to be Vetrinary Techs. So, we have a house filled with all kinds of pets. So that is why at first I didn't think we had a ghost.

When I first moved into the house, with my two other roommates, it was the end of August. The house gave me a weird feeling, but I thought it was just nerves, since it was a new place and town. Then about a month ago, things started to disappear. The first time it happened, I didn't think much about it. I had been packing my things, so I could go and visit my parents for the weekend. I could have sworn I had packed my hairspray, but when I got to my parents house, I realized I didn't have it with me. So when I got home, I was checking my bathroom closet for the bottle, it wasn't there. One of my roommate's and I checked everywhere. The weird part of it was, we found it two weeks later, at the bottom of my bathroom closet, in an obivous place. And my roommate and I swear up and down that it wasn't there two weeks before. Then about two to three weeks ago, my roommate lost her very expensive watch, and we tore the house apart looking for it. We searched under the couches, in closets, under beds, in the washer and dryer...it just wasn't to be found. At the same time, I had lost my vcr remote. And once again, we were tearing up the house, I looked everywhere in my room. Under the bed, in my closet, in my dresser...you name it, I searched there. I had come to the conclusion that our dogs had probably eaten my remote and my roommate's watch. Well, about a week ago, I was going to buy a new remote for my vcr, but I was really mad because now I wouldn't be able to set the timer programming and tape my favorite shows while I was at class. But while I was at the store, I decided not to buy it. I went home, and decided all the sudden to look for the remote again. I had remembered, quite vividly, checking underneath my entertainment center, and having my roommate do the same. Two weeks ago, it hadn't been under my entertainment center, but now it was. Then about two hours later, my roommate who had been missing her watch that her grandmother had given her, comes into my room, looking very happy, and tells me that she just found her watch, at the bottom of the bathroom closet floor.

Ok, that's not all of it...last Friday, while studying for finals, my roommate's and I started talking. We were standing in the hallway, the dogs were playing at our feet. All the sudden, my one roommate picks up her dog, and looks down the hallway, like she had seen something. Then she said, "why don't we go talk in my room". I asked her if something was wrong, and she said that she thought she saw someone down the hallways, towards our kitchen. Come to find out, she has seen something in the house, numerous times. All she says is that she knows its a man, but she can't really make out a description...but she knows he's looking at her.

Then, just yesterday, my roommate, who had seen the ghost, asked me if I had been in her room. I told her no, and asked her why. She told me that someone kept turning her fan down. She would have it on medium, leave the room, and then come back to the house, and find it on low. She thought one of us had done it, however, none of us had been in her room the whole weekend.

From what we have learned from our next door neighbors, is that our landlord bought the house 2-3 years ago, when the previous owner died of old age.
