When I was around eight, my family moved into this old two-stories apartment building.
My best friend, P, and her family previously lived there before us. At the time, I didn't know this, but they moved out because their grandmother died and they claimed her spirit was haunting the place. So, scared, they moved out. My mother knew about the grandmother's death and didn't want to move in, but my dad, a non-believer, disregarded my mother's fear. We moved in. Nothing weird happened. No one seemed to notice anything, but after a while living in that apartment, I had few a frighten experiences. (It may scary to you). It was summer and I was the only one of my siblings going to summer school, so I usually wake up earlier than everyone. One morning I woke up, feeling the same as usual, got dressed, and I was going to brush my teeth. I got my toothbrush, and the toothpaste was in the medicine cabinet.
I opened the cabinet and froze when I heard a strange, ghost-like humming coming out from the cabinet. I just stood for a few moment, listening in awe. Suddenly fear gripped me, and I rushed out the bathroom into my parents' bedroom. I didn't wake them up because I didn't want them thinking I was crazy, so I sat on the edge of the bed, a dry toothbrush in my hand. I wouldn't go intot he bathroom until someone wake up and accompany me.
There was also a time when we were having a family get-together. It was night with loud talking and laughter, children playing, running up and down the stairs. It was near ten, and no one went home yet, so my parents were still entertaining our relatives. All day long I'd been playing with my cousins and was feeling tired and sleepy, so I decided to head up to bed. The bathroom was near my parents' bedroom and someone had left the light on in it. When I walked past my parents' room, I spotted someone on the bed, but covered with the blanket head to foot.
I knew all my cousins were downstairs along with my siblings and parents. No one else was upstairs. I could clearly see the outline of the round head and the feet sticking up under the blanket. I rushed downstairs and wouldn't go up to my room until my parents head up to bed. When I told my dad, he said it was just my imagination. It probably was. I don't know.
While living in that apartment, I also heard footsteps in my bedroom at night and my mother would come in, telling us to go to bed, but my sister and I never once got up. We just laid in bed, listening to the creaking of footsteps near our closet. Oh, yeah, once my sister, brother, and I were playing in our room, jumping on the beds. Our mother was yelling for us to stop playing, but we disregarded her order. We continued jumping from bed to bed when I stopped for a breath of air. Suddenly I felt a sharp yank of my hair and no one was standing behind me! Although I didn't listen to my mother, I did heed the pull of my hair and ordered my siblings to stop playing.
Well, this is mostly all the experiences I had with the supernatural. Nothing really scary, but just frightening enough to make me a believer.
