Subject: My experiences
The following is as brief a summary as I can get on my experiences. I have more but I know you want to edit these into readable short stories. I am using cut / paste from word so here goes.
The following accounts are true! These really happened to me. I do not claim to be a psychic or anything along that lines. I am a real person with real experiences that are hard for some to believe.
I will start when I was very young.
We moved to Ohio from West Virginia when I was 3. My grandmother use to live across the street from a Grave Yard. I didn't use to think anything of it until one night. My aunt is about 14 years younger than my mom. On one occasion, when we were visiting my grandmother, she and a few friends were at the grave yard. Soon they came running back saying they were chased by ghostly figure. They described it as being white and glowing. I thought they must have done something wrong to get it to chase them.
At the same house I use to sit up by the road and throw rocks at cars that drove by. I remember an old man dressed in a black suit (including a top hat) would come and talk to me. I never saw him coming he just appeared and then disappeared. I never thought much about him until many years later when I saw a picture of my great grandma standing next to the man. I asked my mom and grandma who it was and she said it was her great grandpa. I told her I remembered talking to him when my grandma lived on the side of the hill. She and my grandma looked at each other and said, "He died when you were only 9 months old."
This didn't surprise me nor my mom. Prior to that day, I had many other strange experiences that couldn't be explained by us. I continue to have these, I just don't talk much about them. I will, however, let you know of some.
Let's begin at my parents house. Growing up there was an adventure for me. Going to visit still is. At about age 5 is when is when the "fun" started for me in that house. When we first moved in my sister and I shared a room. I can remember thinking this house was strange, but didn't know why I thought that. I liked the house but it gave me a funny feeling. For the first few weeks my sister and I would giggle and laugh for no apparent reason at night.
After the giggling ended I recall waking up one night and couldn't wake my sister up. I snuggled back down under the covers that I had to tug and pull off of her. Then I noticed a glow in our room. I watched in amazement as a woman all white and glowing floated into our room. She had shoulder length hair that was straight and curled up at the ends. I don't know if she had a gown or a dress on, but it was long. She floated from the door and passed our bed then disappeared. I went back to sleep and told my story in the morning. Of course, the response is that I was only dreaming. I just don't see how I could have dreamed taking covers away from my sister. This was the only time I saw the lady in white, I always thought she was my guardian angel. I really don't know who she was.
I was a child that was cursed with night mares, bad dreams what ever you want to call them. I can remember getting up in the night while we lived in West Virginia and going to my parent's room. Well, while living at this house my bad dreams got worse. Still I would wake up and run to my parents room. I had repeat dreams of being in a grave yard with my mom and sister. I tried to get them out of there because I knew something bad was going to happen but I couldn't get them to come with me. We kept circling around all the different headstones and ending up in a mausoleum and couldn't get out. In this dream I was about 4 maybe 5, I had this same dream when I was about 19. I was still 5 in this dream.
I received a bear for Christmas when we first moved to Ohio and slept with that bear ever since. Some may think the following was a dream but I don't. I woke up one night looking for my bear but instead I found a huge snake slithering across my bed! I was out of the bed and into the hall in one leap! Straight to my parents room I ran. My mom tried and tried to get me to go back into my own bed but I refused. Then she noticed I didn't have my bear. She knew then that how frightened I was for I always brought my bear. She finally got me to go back only by going with me.
I can remember laying in bed at night and seeing things in my room move. I tried telling myself they couldn't move they were not real it is only my imagination like everyone says. My parents began leaving the bathroom light on to help soothe me. I hid the flash light in bed with me so I could shine the light on the objects that moved or made faces at me in the dark.
On my 7th birthday I got a red, Huffy bike. I was so happy and proud. Just a few weeks prior to my birthday I got on a friend's bike and showed my dad I could ride. I had never been on a bike prior to that. I asked for one and was excited to have gotten one. That night I was awakened by a female voice calling my name. I listened and it wasn't my mom. The voice kept calling me so I got up and walked to the bedroom door. I really couldn't tell where the voice was coming from so I entered the hallway. It then seemed that the voice was calling from the living room where my bike was. It was still in the house because I had not been able to take it outside yet. So, I went to my bike and talked to it. I don't remember what I said, I do remember touching it and bending down to the front wheel and speaking to it. I just can't remember what I said. The voice stopped and I went back to bed thinking it was my bike missing me. The next morning I told my story and again, it was my imagination. Boy do I have a vivid one then!
As I got older more and different experiences happened. I would find my self a lot of times thinking this has happened before. Sometimes I would tell my sister that if she did something then this particular something would result. Soon she started believing me. She still to this day does.
When I was either in middle school or high school a lot of things happened to me in this house. This is where the real fun things begin and they haven't stopped yet!
You must keep in mind that I have been this troubled child believing in ghost and keeping my parents up about it. Things scared me and I would tell them and they would always reply it's just your imagination. With this in mind I will begin the real interesting part of my TRUE story.
Many nights and early mornings I would see what I came to call the lumberjack. This was a full bodied apparition man who wore a shirt that looked like it was made of flannel, had a big belly and a beard. His hair was dark brown and so was his beard. I am guessing he would have been about 5'9" to 6' tall. To me he was big. He never appeared in my room just outside the door in the hall. Never made a noise just stood there.
I remember the surprised look on my mom's face when I told them about him. She didn't seem to like it and looked intently at my dad. I got the impression that she felt something had to be done about this. I was not aware of anything if they tried anything.
My sister and I took our showers in the morning and with 3 women in the house it was a chore to get us all done and out the door. My poor dad, the only man in the house. Well, I was in my room sitting in front of my dresser mirror drying my hair. I had both lamps on and the dryer plugged into the outlet controlled by the wall switch. This switch had to be up in order for the lamp and dryer to work. In the middle of drying my hair the light and dryer quit. I thought, great! The breaker kicked. I thought this first because it had been happening a lot and I rather liked flipping the buttons. I put the dryer down and started to get up out of the chair when my brain stopped me. If the breaker had kicked then why isn't the other light off? While still slightly bent over I slowly looked up at the wall switch. It was down! No way possible could this switch had gone done unless someone or something pushed it down. I rain out of the room and into the kitchen where my mom, dad and sister were. I stood by my dad and looked at him. I didn't know what to say so I just stood there and looked at him. My sister was talking and standing on the other side of him. He looked up at me and said, "what is wrong with you, you look like you've seen a ghost". I replied, "Well, I didn't see it but it turned the light switch off in my room." He tried to comfort me by saying I didn't have it up all the way. I asked him to demonstrate. He couldn't make it happen again. The switches in their house are heavy and make a loud click when turned off or on. You cannot get the switch to stay in the middle it is either up or down.
In the same room within months of this incident another large incident happened. I say large because many small things happen in between these big things that stand out plainly in my mind. Again it was in the morning while getting ready to go to school. This time I had a small tape player on. The player was sitting on my floor and plugged into an extension cord. Suddenly the music stopped. I thought great! The tape is wound tight. But no, that wasn't it. The play button was still down but the cord had become unplugged. As usual I go to where everyone else was and told my dad. My wonderful dad! This time his answer was simple. "Well maybe someone didn't like the music you were listening to and didn't know how else to tell you."
I don't remember exactly how old I was when these "big" things started but I am sure I was in the beginning of my teens around 14. As I got further into my teens I started seeing more full bodied apparitions.
One night or rather early morning around 6:00 a.m. I pulled down the covers, sat up and began to get out of the bed when I saw her. I put my foot back in bed and pulled the covers back up to my eyes. At my bedroom door, stood a young girl. She was about my age at the time, had straight brown hair that hung just below her shoulders. She wore pink shorts and a white "jersey" type shirt that had pink sleeves. She stood there leaning up against my door staring at the ceiling. Then I noticed another form inside my room. I hadn't seen one in my room since the lady in white. This was a young man possibly a teenage boy in a gray suit. She stood there facing the door. Neither of them moved nor made any noises that I could hear. I watched them and the clock. Then the lumber jack began to appear in his usual spot in the hall. As he became solid I could see his had was outstretched toward the girl. Before he could become completely solid my mom turned on the bathroom light and come down the hall. The apparitions disappeared just as she rounded the corner and entered my room. I sat up as she turned my light on and asked me why I wasn't up yet. I went on to tell her why.
That night she slept in my room with me. I don't know if it was out of frustration or to prove me wrong. She woke me up several times before leaving me alone. I remember she had me unplug my clock because she thought it was making a clicking sound. The next morning she would not say if she saw, heard or felt anything. She wouldn't discuss the matter with me at all.
On a few occasions my mom would tell that a friend called me the night before. I would get upset that she didn't come tell me. She said she did and I was asleep and wouldn't wake up. My dad confirmed this and that they even shook me and sat me up. They didn't think anything of it since I was breathing. I can remember trying to remember what I had dreamed but it was as though I didn't dream anything during that time.
Later when I was closer to 18 my parents actually saw something they said was me. One morning when I got up my parents asked me what I was doing in the bathroom so many times the night before. I looked at them and said, "I didn't go to the bathroom." They argued, "Yes you did, you ran in, shut the door and 30 seconds later came back out. Then about a minute later you did it again." I said again, "It wasn't me!" My dad said, "Yes it was, you had white gown on and." That must have been when he noticed I did NOT have a white gown on. That was the end of the conversation also.
A few other little things that would happen, and still does, is noises and whispers. Remember when I said the wall switches in the house make a loud click. Well, every day periodically throughout the day you can hear a switch go on or off, but no light goes on or off, it's just the noise. It's not the house settling, it is too distinctive a noise. This sound has been accepted by my dad and he recognizes it as being an unseen switch.
I think this switch is located in what is now the laundry hall. My dad added about 700 sq. Ft onto this house shortly after we moved in. The place that is the hall with the washer and dryer use to be the bathroom.
Also in this hall is where I have felt the most presence at. There is not a definite cold spot there, just occasionally I sense someone there. There have been times that I have come into their house when no one else was home and had to sit on the porch until someone else came. The feeling there for me sometimes is overwhelming. It is almost like 100 people trying to talk to you all at once and they won't shut up nor go away.
Sadly for me, their house is not the only house I feel or sense things in. We had a new house built a few years ago and I had to get out of there. When we walked on the land before it was built I knew it was a bad place to build. I could sense something about it. I felt farmland, hard work, not wanting to sell or loose the land. My husband liked the lot so we built. I did not tell him what I felt. I should have, he respected me with greatly in this regard. After the house was built and we moved in I really new something wasn't right. We had a security system installed which helped some, but I new no security system could protect against what was there. Our youngest was just barely over 1 when we moved in there. Her room was to be the room at the top of the stairs. She would not sleep in it. Should would manage to get out of the crib if we put her in there and come into our room or one of the other kids' room. I didn't much like that room either. I remember telling my husband that I thought there was a vortex in that room. He asked why that room. I don't know, I didn't decide it. He started seeing things out of the corner of his eye, all of the kids were feeling things touch them on the shoulder or hearing noises. One morning I went down and bypassed the motion detector on the alarm, walked across it's path and then back into it and opened the refrigerator door bent over to get something out as I stood up the alarm went off. I flew back up the stairs thinking someone was coming in the basement window. However, our German shepherd was not barking. The monitoring people called and said it was the motion sensor. I argued that it couldn't be that I had bypassed it. He didn't show anything bypassed. OK, so how was I able to cross the path of it twice and stand in the path before it went off?
Please let me know somehow, if you received this message.
