story I have been on this list for about a year now and I have not really believed in the 'supernatural', but last Thursday (22nd) changed that. I need to give you a background of my school. In the basement is a pool hall and towards the back to that is an arcade room, that has a window so you can see in. The games are left on all night I assume because I always see them on and the rest rooms are not to far from the pool hall. Ok on to what happened...
I usually go to the computer labs in our Student Union Building (SUB) with my friends. We went there after dinner which was about 6:30 or so. Most of the time we stay there for about 2-3 hours, but this night we stayed until the workers told us they were closing. It was 11:05 when we left, I had to use the restroom so I told my friends to wait for me upstairs. I watched them go up and I walked over to the restroom and did my business. Anyways, I was walking out and I heard some noise in the pool area. I assumed it was my friends, so I walked in the hall and no one was there. The arcade area was dark and th games were turned off, which I found odd because everytime I passed they were on. I was going to go up the stairs but I heard the noise again in the arcade room. The noise was like shuffling and struggling. I carry a knife with me that has a red light attached to it. So I pulled out my knife and walked over to the window shining my light into it. This is going to sound odd b! ! ut I saw a figure of a young woman and a black figure. If any of you have seen pictures of a black hole then that's how it looked. The woman looked up at me but I couldn't see her eyes then I looked to the black figure and it seemed to stare at me yet not. I screamed and ran up the stairs, where I was met by my friends. I told them what happened and one of my friends went to the pool hall and told me the arcade games were turned on. They all thought I was imaging it or it was because I needed some sleep. I was so scared that I couldn't sleep by myself that night so one of my friends let me sleep in her dorm room. The next day I couldn't go to class because I was so frightened, my friends knew I must have seen something because I am one of those people that don't show my feelings. Anyway, that night I stood in my own dorm and I tried to fall asleep. When I finally closed my eyes I had a feeling that someone/something was in the room with me. I didn't want to look so I hid my face but the feeling wouldn't go away so I peeked out. I looked up at that black figure I saw the night before, it just stood there by my window, it wasn't exactly standing but floating. I wanted to scream but I couldn't, it was as if I had no voice. The figure came towards me and then disappeared once it reached my bed side. I don't know what happened after that but I remember waking up at 7:00 am by a knocking on my door. I opened it and my friend was there to walk with me to breakfast. I told her what happened but she didn't seem to believe me so I stormed out and showered then dressed. I came back into my room a! ! nd saw my friend sitting on my bed holding something. I asked what she had and she showed me a gold necklace that was caked in mud. I asked where she got it from and she told me it was on the floor by the window, the same spot where the black figure was a the night before. When I told her this, she seemed to believe me more. But we couldn't explain any of it. Our Saturday was spent at the library trying to find something that happened in the SUB. We couldn't find anything so we gave up for the afternoon, we walked back to my dorm room and we saw my RA. We stopped and talked to her. So my friend told her what happened, asking if she knew anything that happened. My RA told us that it was said that a woman disappeared ahile back and her body was not found except her necklace, which was found in the arcade room. I was freaking out and I told my RA about the necklace, so I went to grab it but it was gone, all that was left was some dried mud.
I haven't had anyother 'experences' since that Thursday and Friday night. When I walked by the arcade room earlier today I had a feeling of someone/something watching me. I don't know if I was imaging it or was that woman's ghost or the black figure there. If it was one of them, why show themselves to me? Tons of people have walked by at night yet they picked my night.
I don't know if anyone really believes me but I saw it and it seemed so real. I don't know how I saw a black figure in the darkness but I did. Has anyone else seen something like that?
