Subject: A true ghost storey

We live in Austria in what the English call Corinthia, but is really Kärnten - next to Italy and Slovenia.The town is called Klagenfurt and has a huge stone dragon in the town square. Next to the town is one of the many "holy" mountains, called the Kreutzbergl, except this one is really just a very large hill, forested, with many paths.
One of the paths leads to a comemorative board which proclaims in old German that the White Stag had appeared there a long time ago. The odd thing is that almost as you step onto this path there is a very different type of energy around. The path is narrow and stony with a high rock-face on the left and a drop on the right.
One day, as we were walking along the path, commenting about the different feel of the place, we noticed near the rock face a comemorative board regarding a male person who had lost his life at that point. Although we had walked that path many times we had never noticed that board before.
We just passed around the next bend, when a strange figure glided along the path towards us. He was almost two metres tall and was wearing a long brown coat that stretched down past his ankles. He was heading straight towards us, so we stepped quickly to the side of the path. He passed by us making no sound at all. But we saw his face - it was totally white and his eyes were like black saucers just staring straight ahead.
It happened too quickly for us to be too frightened. He had appeared out of nowhere and had vanished just as quickly, - perhaps back to where the board said he had lost his life............
