story We have lived in our present home approximately 10 years now. About 3 years ago my wife began telling me that she was missing clothes and that they would show up at unusual times and places or not at all. I laughed at her at first because I thought it was just her forgetting where she left them.

A few months after she told me about the misplaced items an incident happened to me that was very similar. I was getting ready to take a group of students to a Billy Graham Crusade. It was supposed to rain, so I got out a wind suit and hung it on my closet before I went to bed. When I awoke the nextmorning the wind suit was gone. I asked my wife and daughters if they had moved it. All four of us searched for the suit and could not find it. I went on to the Crusade but the next morning the wind suit was hanging on the door where I had left it two nights prior. I joked with my wife and daughters about pulling tricks on me but they swore that they had not.

This was the beginning of many things that have happened at my home. At night we hear footsteps in the hall at times. I get up to investigate but noone is there. We have had locked doors open, setting off the burglar alarm several times. We had a key that was lost several years ago in the yard to show up on the outside door steps. Many times lights go out and we think the lights are burned out but come back on by themselves. One time I replaced an electrical outlet and it still did not work. After several days it came on by itself.

One of the strangest things happened when we were watching a movie from the satelite dish. My family was sitting in the sun room watching the movie when all of a sudden the satelite receiver moved to stations by itself. I accused my youngest daughter of messing with the remote but she did not have it. When we searched for the remote control, we found it in a chair by itself.

Another incident occured when I was looking for a dog leash to walk my Siberian huskey. I looked throughout the house and in the garage for it and finally used a rope instead. The next morning I walked out into the garage and the leash was on the floor in the middle of the garage. There are many other incidents that occur such as, papers moving, lights going on and off in Christmas decorations. However, we have gotten used to the playful antics and have named the spirit "John" after my wife's stepfather that was killed in a shootout with police about 12 years ago. He was alwaysplayful and loved to aggrivate.
