Subject: Re: Ghost story of the day
Hi All,
I don't know anything about the Playhouse but I have a story to tell you that happened while staying a weekend at the Myrtle's Plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana.
It is said that often the guests will find that their belongings have been moved or redistributed in a different place in the room. There is evidently one of the ghosts (most likely Chloe) that really hates messy rooms. People have relayed stories where they have kicked off their shoes at night before going to bed only to find them placed neatly at the foot or side of the bed the next morning. Well, getting back to what I was going to tell you....
One afternoon after our little group had arrived at the Plantation, my daughter and I had taken our belongings up stairs to our room. As we were in a hurry to get back down stairs and join the rest of the group, we just more or less threw our things down. I kind of tossed my purse to a chair next to the bed and missed. Oh well! I was in too big a hurry to pick it back up and place it on the chair. Instead, we left the room. Later on my daughter went upstairs to get something. When she returned, she asked me when I had been back upstairs to pick up my purse. Seems it had made its way to the chair. I told her I hadn't been back in the room. The more we thought about it, the more it bothered us. We decided to test the theory that someone or something was putting it back on the chair. So we went back upstairs and I set it on the floor again. Went downstairs and about 15 minutes later went back up to the room. You guessed it....my purse was sitting on top of the chair again. We did this again and had one of my other friends go up the next time just to prove this was really happening. The same thing happened again. Someone or something obviously didn't want my purse on the floor. The door was locked so no one could have gotten in the room and our group just happened to be the only ones staying at the house that night. And they were all accounted for. So that just left one explanation as far as I am concerned.......
