My Grandmother's house has been haunted for years. I definitely won't stay overnight there!

When I was a kid, I used to sleep over at her house. The house is about one hundred years old, and I've heard various stories over the years about people who have died there.

I was told that a child suffocated to death in the main bedroom upstairs. That is supposedly who is haunting the house. The entity likes to take things, break things, and play with the lights.

One day I was teasing my little brother, who was three at the time. I took his yo-yo and was running around the house with it while he was chasing me. I had just bought a pair of sunglasses and had them while I was running around. I had them hooked in the top of my shorts . I noticed later that I no longer had the glasses. I looked in every last nook and cranny of that house. I looked everywhere I had been and even in places I hadn't been! I couldn't find them anywhere.

That happened about nine years ago and I STILL haven't found those sunglasses. Our joke is that the ghost is walking around wearing them.

When my older brother and I stayed at the house just after Christmas when we were little, we left our new Christmas toys out in the living room and went to bed. My brother had a new race track, you know the ones that you pull the trigger and the little cars go around the track. Well, we heard that running in the middle of the night. The next morning we came downstairs and the race track was broken. I don't think the ghost liked my brother too much because his picture that was on the top of the T.V. was turned around the opposite way that it had been facing. That had happened a number of times.

My grandma told me about a ghost that they used to see on the second step from the top of the stairs. It was a woman who was sitting there rocking back and forth. My mom used to jump over that step every time she went down the stairs.

Another story about the house is, and this only happened a couple years ago, my older brother was living at my grandma's for a summer and he thought he saw a shadow at the top of the stairs. When he told my grandma about it, she believed him but when my step-grandfather came home and was told about the incident he said "Ah, I don't belive in ghosts!". And then the lights went out......

I'll never again sleep in my grandma's house. There hasn't been too much activity there lately, but I don't usually stay there too long either!
