Subject: Hi!!
Hello everyone!
I'm new to this discussion group. My name is Shannon and I am very interested in obiwan's page. I have two stories to share. I would like your input on them. Both of them are kind of silly to talk about afterwards but when they happend, I felt very wierd and it spooked me out at the time. Here we go.....
This happened to me about a year or so ago. Let me set it up for you. I was in my living room which has a couch with an end table right next to one end of it. The endtable is a little shorter than the arm of the couch. I was sitting on the couch right next to the end table with a small glass of orange juice on the coaster which was sitting on the end table. My sister and my dog were the only ones home with me at the time. My sister was in the shower and my dog (who is an older, not very excitable dog anymore :( ) was laying down sleeping in front of the chair on the other side of the room. Anyway, I went in my room to grab something real quick. I was gone for maybe 5 seconds and when I came back to the living room, (my sister was still in the shower and my dog still asleep) my glass that had the orange juice in it was sitting upside down in the middle of the cushion I was sitting on on the couch. You could also see where the orange juice had spilled on the back part of the cushion. But there was no spill on the end table or arm of the couch. Very wierd. I was really scared and ran into the bathroom where my sister was and didn't come out until my mom came home. She just laughed at me. Most people think I'm making it up or that my dog just knocked it over. I experimented with this and even if she did just knock it over, the glass would have either fell on the floor or onto the end table. Even if the glass did go airborn to fall on the couch, there would have been orange juice on the end table. I would have heard my dog get up anyway....remember this happened in a matter of a couple seconds. Wierd.
My second experience happened just two nights ago. I was in bed laying on my back reading when all of a sudden I felt a drop of water fall on my face. It was definatly from up above. The first thing I thought of was, of coarse, the roof was leaking. Well, we just replaced our roof this summer and I felt all around on the cieling right above me and I felt absolutly no wet spots. My head is towards the window and I thought about the condensation from the window, but my head is not directly below the window. Another note, this was the night of my grandma's 80th birthday and we had a lot of family over. My gradpa had passed away about 8 years ago. Do you think these could have been visits or am I just getting carried away with this "ghost fasination" I have? Sorry this is so long....
