Dear All,

I wrote this story for a friend on another list I lurk in as she wanted to know how to develop psychic abilities and after an email to her, wished to know how I discovered I was clair-audient. This story was the result, please do not think that I approve of Ouija Boards, as I do not. But in this case it was of use to me. Remember, this experiement was done in a very protected psychic environment, one dedicated to spiritual healing and communication with those who have passed away, all in the name of God, Light etc.

I am posting it to the list now, partially as a support / response regarding Paulette's post. And also, I suppose, as a support to Brandy's posting earlier. I do believe that we play with Ouija at our own peril, even though this story proves that it can have positive results.

Clair-audience and how I discovered I had this skill

When I first started attending the medium-ship development circle at the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain during my teens, the circle’s leader, Robin Stevens, decided that the first terms course would be a mixture of meditation and psychic ‘tricks’ like Ouija.

The first week we meditated on each other and ‘saw’ things, and then reported them. A few weeks into the course he decided to set up a Ouija board. Anyone who knows me also knows I dislike them intensely and consider that they cause more harm than good. As I was of that opinion even at the tender age of fourteen, you can imagine that I was not pleased with this proposed activity. Like most kids, I had seen girls at my school get involved with Ouija and scare themselves sick with the dire death threats the spirits always seemed to spell out. Even then I knew in my heart of hearts that this kind of threat could not work unless the person was scared to death.

I aired my opinion, and, although my disapproval was noted it was ignored as I was the baby of the group. Robin felt that the protection guards around the Association would keep out the mischievous spirits that so often cause the problems with Ouija. The board was set up, and some of the group had to put their fingers on the glass. They made me be one of these because of my obvious distaste for the proceedings. Robin asked the questions once we had established contact with a spirit. I began to notice that as the questions were being asked I already knew the answers. I could hear a voice in my head, talking, as the glass moved from letter to letter with inexorable slowness.

I have always been honest, so I put up my other hand. Robin stopped the proceedings and asked me what was the problem. I explained that I knew all the answers before the glass finished spelling them out. Robin then requested that I let go of the glass and another member of the circle take my place, just in case I was subconsciously pushing the glass. This happened, and, although I was no longer touching the glass I could still hear the answers to the questions in my head. The spirit visiting us was a young German soldier, as this took place thirty years ago I cannot remember any more of what he said to us through the Ouija board.

I learnt during this session that my main psychic ability at that time was clair-audience, the ability to hear the discarnate. I use this skill even now, as you all know from the stories I have posted from time to time.

Just in case you all think I may have changed my mind about Ouija boards, the answer is no, leave them alone. They are more trouble than they are worth.
