Hello, I’m just sitting by myself here on Halloween night 1998, looking up paranormal stuff for fun.Listed below is not quite a ghost story, but a description of the paranormal occurrences in my life. I can assure that this is not fiction and everything is true. If it were fiction, I’d make it a lot more exciting.

a.) My present girlfriend at the time and I were relaxing in the basement. It was late, past midnight.Everyone else had gone to bed. Sitting there we heard the distinct sound of a man laughing. It was a short laugh. We were startled and both heard it. I went upstairs to check the house. No one wasawake. The tv and radio were off.

b.) Very soon after, a balloon somehow migrated from my parents room, through a hallway, and into the kitchen, in a manner of 15 minutes or so. No windows were open and we have no air conditioning or centralized heating that would create a draft. Everyone took notice of it and no one claimed to have moved it.

c.)Also in the kitchen during the day, my step sister had gotten a box of cereal out of the pantry to have a bowl. I was in the kitchen too. She went to the bathroom quickly, which is attached to the kitchen. I left the kitchen for a moment, returning just after she came out of the bathroom. The half full box ofcereal was in the garbage. No one else had been in the kitchen. I asked her why she threw the cereal away. She said she hadn't.

Shortly after that, nothing really happened anymore. The concentration of happenings ended. Only one more incident occurred before I left for CMU in 1995. In the process of the aforementioned girlfriend's relationship with me she gave me a ring with blue "stone" on it. After we'd broken up, I'd lost it along the way. One day, however, I walked into my bedroom to find it right in the middle of the floor. My parents said nothing like "Oh, I found your ring."

I will next describe 2 sets of Ouija board incidences. This first set happened in Grayling, Michigan at the same house. I'd borrowed the board from my friend and tried to use it in my sister's room. It worked a little, but too slowly, so we lost patience and stopped. My sister had a guinea pig that recently gave birth in the room. Several days later they all, including the mother, died. About a week later my brother Jeff and I attended a Halloween party at a friend’s house with about 20 people in attendance. I brought the board, using it with a female friend of mine. What followed was a 45 minute conversation with something claiming to be a 5 year old boy. He was a poor speller, but his words were clear.. Being so long ago, I can't recall every detail of the conversation, but I can remember some. He claimed there was "no God." The creepiest part of the whole conversation was when I jokingly asked if my sister's guinea pigs had been killed by a ghost when I used the Ouija board. It said no. I asked "who did?" and the board replied something like "Jeff killed guinea pigs," misspelling "guinea" and "killed" I believe. Jeff is my twin brother who lives in the same house. We took this as his little joke because of the tone of the conversation. Jeff replied something (he can't remember what, he is right here and is helping verify my memory, who also refuses to touch a Ouija board, as it freaks him out), to which the board replied with some sort of expletive, but was never mean. We all thought he was just playing around. My second major Ouija board experience came as a freshman at CMU, fall 1995. I hadn't used the board since the above incident and decided to give it a try with my friend Bryan. I lived in the Towers dorm, Carey 403. It was late evening. We started in the bedroom area and soon had the board working. My room mate Andrew, who is a Christian, hated the thing and started antagonizing who we were talking to. It told Andrew to "fuck off." Andrew wanted to go to bed, so we went in the study room and started again. At this point I think we reached someone different or it was the same person but was just pulling one over on us. I think it was the second, looking back. I remember several details,as I jotted down notes periodically, which I have since lost but remember. It was or claimed to be a female, 19 years old. She told us about when she died, not in years, but in seasons, like X Winters or Springs or something, but I don't recall the number. She said she was an Indian, she referred to herself as "Ojibwe," which I didn't realize was a word until looking it up. She said she died during a spring festival while giving birth. The problem was, and why she was roaming around, is that she claimed to be dreaming when she died so she became lost and could not find her body. She said she believed that her body was within 2 days walk of where we were, but she didn't know where exactly. This next part freaked us out BIG TIME. She began to beg us to help her find her body. We didn't know what to say. She kept asking so all we thought to do was tell her that we'd try and asked to go. And we did. I swear to you that this story is 100% true. Whether or not she was who she says she was, I'm still not sure. I haven't used the Ouija board since then, 3 years ago.

These are all the ghostly things that have happened to me. Your page sparked back these memories and possibly my interest. Thanks,

Lee Taylor
