story ZARA?
My friend told me this story at her birthday party. I'm not sure if it's true or not, not, but my friend (I haven't asked her if I can put this up so I'll call her Tara) has never lied to me before and has no reason to. Anyway, there were five of us there, me Tara, Amy, Lauren and Carry( I made up all there names cause I haven't asked any of them about this). At Tara's house we were sleeping on the floor in her living room. There is a doorway in to her dinning room from the living room. We all got to the subject of telling ghost stories. Tara swore hers was true and that her brother and friend (who wasn't there at the party)could back her up if we didn't belive her. I never asked her brother or fiend cause I belive Tara. Anyway, here's what she told us.
Her friend(lets call her Mellisa)was spending the night in December of 1997. Tara and Mellisa were sleeping in the living room and Tara's brother Ben was there too. The lights were off and they were wtching a movie. I think it was a comidy, but I can't remeber. Ben looked into the dinning room because he was hearing a sqeaking noise. The chandeler above the dinning room table was swinging back and forth. No windows were opened becuase it was December and Tara, Ben and Mellisa were home alone (Tara's parents were at a party or relative's house) so no one could have hit it. Plus, if some one had hit it they would have had to climb up on the table to hit it. Then Tara said the chandeler suddenly stopped and started swinging in a circle. No one had touched it! Then it suddenly stopped again. It didn't slow down, just suddenly stopped as if someone had grabbed it to make it stop.
Tara said that then the three of them saw a white glow float back and forth across the dorway, as though it was pacing. No cars could have caused the light becuase it was about 2 in the morning, Tara's house is set far back from the street and ever-green trees surrond the house.
Then the T.V shut off and the white light dissappered. No one was near the T.V and it couldn't have been a power falure becuase the hall light at the top of the stairs was still on. Ben went behind the T.V to see if anything was unplugged and everything was fine. He tried the button and the T.V turned back on. He started to walk back to where Tara and Mellisa were and off went the T.V again. By now all three of them were so freaked out that they ran upstairs and laid in Tara's bed till her parents got home.
Two weeks later Tara's aunt was spending the night. Her aunt is a year younger than Tara (lets call her Anna). Don't ask me to explain why Anna is younger casue I dn't understand Tara's family. Anyway, they were home alone and down in Tara's basement. Tara had almost forgotten about the inccedent two weeks before. I haven't been in Tara's basement so I'm not sure of the layout, but Tara said they were both on a sofa bed trying to get to sleep so the lights were out. Tara said the floorboards in the basement started to creak as though someone was pacing. Tara and Anna were the only ones home as I've already told you and they were both on the sofa bed. They sat upand saw a white light pacing. Then the light started blinking on and off. The light switch was at the top of the stairs and Tara had locked the basement door from the inside because she lives in a pretty bad neighborhood. They both pulled the covers over their heads and stayed awake they rest of the night. I have no explanation for this except her house is haunted
