Lady in White
My mom told me this story among a few others she has shared with me.
This occured when I was a few months old; I'm 20 now. My dad was stationed at Clark AFB Phillipines, and we lived in base housing. My parents hired what they called a "house boy". The house boy would mow the lawn, clean the house, and accomplish other odd jobs around the house(sort of cheap labor). He worked for them for quite some time and my parents trusted him. He would babysit me while my parents went out at night for some extra pay.
One night when he was watching me: He worked all day and was tired, so he laid me in my crib and decided to take a nap on the sofa accross from me. A few hours later he woke up with a chill and looked up and saw a lady in a white dress standing over me. He described her as having long black hair and young (about mid to late 20's) and looked as real as any living person. He said he tried to get up but was unable to move. After what he said felt like an eternity, the lady then turned and walked out the doorway down the hallway towards the rear of the house. He then got up, and somewhat apprehensive, started walking towards the hall. He went to everyone room on that side of the house and found noone. He recalled it was very chilly in the master bedroom and in the hall. My mom said when they got back they found him pale and terrified on the sofa. He then told them what had happened, and my parents who found him trustworthy, beleived him. This wasn't the only occurence in that house.
One night my mom woke up and heard sounds coming from above. She said it sounded like someone was walking on the roof. She woke up my dad and he heard the noise too. He excused it as being an animal and they both went back to sleep. A half hour or so, they were awakened by somebody knocking on the front door. My dad opened the door and was greeted by an MP (military police). The MP said he was notified by a neighboor that a female in a white gown was seen walking on the roof of the house. They told the MP about the sounds they heard earlier and how they didn't make anything of it. The MP told them that he would make a few rounds around the neighboorhood to see if he could find the person who matched the description and left. They didn't put two and two together until the next morning. The lady in the white gown was the same person the house boy saw.
They later found out a woman was killed in that house. Story goes, a young couple, that lived in the house a few years back, had a heated argument, the husband became enraged and strangled her, and yes, she was wearing a white night gown the night of her untimely death. What she was doing by my crib beats me, maybe she knew how handsome I would grow to be :) Well I hope you found this interesting, I know I did when I heard it. My mom told me a few other ghost stories, I'll send them later.
