Subject: ghost story #1
I have several to tell, but I guess I'll start with this one.....
When I was about 15, we had a very playful ghost in our house, but I seemed to be the only family member who could see and feel the presence.
I started noticing strange things happening, like drawers being pulled back open after I had closed them or clothes being picked up off the floor after I had dropped them (I never saw these things happen before my eyes, but I would walk back in the room and swear that I shut the drawers or left the clothes on the floor).
Anyway, these types of things happened for about a week and I thought that I was just losing my mind. I then started hearing noises in the kitchen: dishes rattling in the sink, oven timer going off and when I would go to investigate, there would be no one in the kitchen.
I used to go to sleep with my radio on, just loud enough so that I could hear it. One night I awoke in the middle of the night to find my radio had been turned up very loud. Up to this point, I had not told a soul what had been going on and I just tried to ignore it.
About a week after the radio incident, I climbed into bed for the night and had just turned off the light, when something tugged on the big toe of my right foot!!! I immediately jumped up, turned on the light and pulled off all of the covers on my bed....ther was nothing there. It was at that point that I started acknowledging our ghost. I guess it had been trying to get my attention and I must say, it succeeded!!
"He" stayed with us for about 2 years and giving me a ton of ghost stories!! : )
I'm not positive who the ghost was, but about the same time that things began happening, my brother's close friend had been killed in an accident. He was 18 at the time of his death, and he had been like another big brother to me.
