I am a paranormally sensitive individual. I have been all my life and most probably be all my life. I have had precognition. Heard peoples thoughts. And many other things too many to describe here. Sometimes its a blessing and sometimes a curse. And rarely ever works when I want it to. I already have submitted two stories. This one has to with a convenience store, wrappings and a unghost related paranormal experience.
While I was attending college I worked at a convenience store to pay the bills. The first part of this story has to do with a pounding sound I kept hearing only when I was alone and at least after 10pm. It sounded like something heavy and solid was being hit up against something else heavy and solid. It was continuous and steady and had an even tempo. Boom.Boom. Boom.Boom. There were no evil beings or dark malign feelings to this place. I found out where the sound was coming from. Just outside the office door by a few feet and in the floor. The sound eminated from just a small spot in the floor. This place had no basement. The floor is just a tiled over cement slab. The first dozen or so times I heard it, I would check everywhere and everything that could possibly acount for this noise. I try to be logical and methodical. I could not find anything of this world that could account for it. I still have no explanation.
The secound story I have to relate is much more dramatic. It was 12:30 am. I had just locked up at midnight and had just finished stocking the cooler. I was walking from the back room out into the main part of the store when I jumped forward ready to kick some ass. Seriously. I can only describe it as a feeling like I was in a situation where I am fully justified and compelled to hurt someone in order to protect someone else(my skin is crawling while I remember this). There was no one in the store. No one outside. I heard no sounds except for the usual sounds of the equipment in the store. I was moving from foot to foot, heart racing, breathing heavy and fully expecting to engage in some conflict with someone who was obviously not there. There was a strong feeling of someone needing my help. I didn't understand. I only reacted. To what? I didn't know. After several minutes the feeling had mostly subsided. It left me confused. I let it go and went about my business. Though it! ! still bothered me on a deep level. I felt that I should have been able to help.
About three or four days later, I was reading the newspaper and I came across an article. In a town, a few towns to the north of where I was, a young woman was found murdered in a small copse about a quarter mile from her house. She had been walking home from a friends house when the police believe she was attacked by an unknown assailant and was killed. The listed time of death was sometime between 12 midnight and 1 am, the same night I had my experience. I fully believe that I had heard her psychically call for help. To my enduring dismay, I could do nothing to help. If I could 'hear' her cry for help, what would it have been like if I had actually met her. If she were still alive. She might have been someone very special to me. The killer was never found.
