If you wish to repley to either of my sisters, you can post your replys here or by emailing them to my address. ComPrt2@worldnet.att.net ®. I will foward any and all messages to them.
These stories are from the second oldest Lily.
Here are three more stories for you as per your requests:
My first story for today took place when my husband, my daughter and I moved back into the house when my grandfather died and the house came into my possesion. My daughter was about 13 years old at the time. And she had taken my parent's former bedroom as her own. At the time my husband started work at 6:00 a.m. in the morning, I started at 6:30 a.m.. My parents had bought the house next door when our neighbor died (the one who worked on silent pictures). I would wake my daughter up every morning after taking my bath and I would leave just as she was getting into the tub. I would knock on the door and say goodbye before I left. Then she would finish getting ready and go over to my mom's for breakfast and my brother would drop her off at school.
On this particular morning I had left already and she was in her bedroom with the door closed getting ready for school with her radio on full blast when she heard a knock at the door. Thinking I had come back home for something she yelled out "mom?." When I didn't answer she opened her door and looked out into the dining room, then my bedroom and finally the kitchen. Thinking I had run out of the house before she had gotten a chance to catch me, she went back into her room and closed the door. Before long she heard a knock again, and again the said (this time a lot softer) "mom?." Again she opened her door and this time just peeked out to see who was there (she was starting to get creeped out). She closed the door and again the knocking!.....This time she didn't answer. As if in response to her silence the knocking became louder and harder, then stopped. My daughter sat silent in her room thinking to herself "I'm not opening that door, I'm not opening that door!!" Again the knocking started only harder, until she thought the door would bang open. Finally, it stopped and she waited a few minutes. She gathered her books, her key, and her sweater. She threw open the door, ran thought the house and flew out the back door. She stopped only long enough to lock the door from the outside of the house (She usually threw the lock from the inside of the door and then just shut the door behind her to lock it).
The second story also happened to my daughter while we were living there. She was sleeping in her room one night when she felt someone watching her. She opened her eyes, only to see the silhouette of a human figure standing at the foot of her bed. She knew she had locked her bedroom when she went to bed, so she knew it wasn't her dad or I. She was afraid to get up....She didn't want to move or let the thing see she was awake. So she closed her eyes and didn't reopen them for the rest of the night. By morning it was gone.
My third and last story for today also involves this bedroom. When my grandfather had a stroke at the age of 93 years old he didn't bounce back. His health deteriorated quickly. The doctors agreed with us, in that without being hooked up to wires and tubes for the rest of his life he was going to die. My grandfather said he did not want to live that way, and he requested to be taken home to be surrounded by his family and to die peacefully in his own bed. When my grandfather came home we took turns taking care of him. It was a full-time job, but we did it willingly because we loved him so very much. My mom was taking care of him one of these particular nights when she woke up from a deep sleep. She woke up with a start, not knowing what had woken her up when she heard murmering near her ear and felt something brush by her left cheek. She said she felt an extremely strong presence in the room with her and she was afraid. She put her head back down, squeezed her eyes shut and pulled the covers up close around her head until the it went away. I asked her if she could make out what the entity had whispered to her, but she said she couldn't quite make out what it had said.
I also wanted to mentioned something about the house. If you remember I mentioned that at one time it had been a home for unwed mothers. Lately we have come to believe it was run by Catholic nuns. The reason we believe this is because my sister has often seen a nun walking through the house throughout the years, from since she was a small child. I believe she mentions this very nun in her postings.
Well let me know what you think and if you want to hear more. Now that my sister Becky has posted one of her storys as well, you'll get more of an understanding of this house and the strange if not enigmatic atmosphere we lived in.
