Subject: Ghost Story for your Website
Hello. Although this experience never actually happened to me I will attempt to recount this story as told to me. This is actually an experience that happened to an old girlfriend of mine, Suzy.
When Suzy was a little girl of about 9 years her grandfather, whom she was very close to, passed away. Her family went to her grandmother's to be with her for the funeral and to lend support. That night after everybody had gone to bed, Suzy was still upset about her Grandfather's death so she went to her Grandmother's room and crawled into bed with her. Some time later that same evening Suzy awoke to a very faint male voice calling her name, "Ssssssssuzy". Grandma was sleeping so she thought her brothers must have called her in another room. Curious, she went to their room, but they were both sleeping soundly. Baffled she checked on her parents, but they too were sleeping. She returned to Grandma's room and thought she must have imagined the voice and attempted to go back to sleep. Before she could fall asleep she heard the voice again calling her name, "Sssssssssuzy." She was so scared she pulled the covers over her head and willed the voice to go away. After two or three more times of hearing this voice call her name and ignoring it, the voice quit calling her name and was quiet.
I haven't talked to Suzy since 1990, but until that time she had always wondered if it was her Grandfather trying to contact her and put her at ease about his death. I remember her telling me that had always regretted not responding to the voice.
By the way, if anybody knows of the former Suzy Wise of Bossier City, Louisiana, please steer her my way. (The last I heard she was married to a guy in the Air Force and living in California.) Thanks...
