Hey everyone. Like most who have posted here, I have read your stories for about 3 years now. They're awesome and I haven't even got through them all yet. They keep me reading. But, it wasn't until about 3 monthes ago that I finally had a storyto post myself. So here it is.

I was over at my dad's house visting him and his wife. I have always been curious about my dad's past so I asked him about my grandfather. All I knew about him was that he died before I was even born, so I never knew him. When I asked my dad about him I learned a lot but a couple things stood out. He died almost axactly a year before my mom found out she was pregnant with me. He loved to spin things. Kinda weird but, he would sit in his chair and spin his wallet on his finger. Just spin anything he could find and pick up. And also, his favorite color was lime green. Now that's what really scared me because that's my favorite color and has been since I can remember. Not one other person that I know in my family had told me that either. After all, lime green isn't the most popular color.

All coincidence I guess but that night I woke up from a deep sleep to the sound of my father's voice. our walls are paper thin so I heard him talking in his room. I was guessing he was talking to my step mom so i just rolled over and closed my eyes. But, then I heard him saying something like, "dad, can you please watch over her please. She wants to know about you and I always thought that you two had so much in common. It's just a shame she couldn't meet you because I know you two would hit if off great"

At this time I about peed my pants and fell asleep thinking my dad was one crazy guy. But, again I woke up close to dawn. For some reason my attention was directed to these birthday cards that had been sitting on my dresser. One at a time down the row, the cards started spinning. then when they all stopped and fell down, they were put upright again.

Now I don't know if I was still gorggy from sleeping or even if I was still sleeping but it wasn't scary at all. I felt like I had a gaurdian and I was now close to a grandfather that I had never met. That feeling still comes up every now and then but nothing like spinning cards. Thanx for reading hope to hear replies.
